Senior Architect

Philip Leeson Architects is a design-focused Canberra practice of eight architects and heritage consultants working across residential, heritage, and medium-scale institutional projects. We're looking for a full-time Senior Architect to lead project design and delivery, working closely with the Director in a collaborative studio.

The Role

  • Lead projects from concept through documentation and construction

  • Manage client, consultant, and authority relationships

  • Produce and review high-quality architectural documentation

  • Produce and review tender submissions

  • Coordinate consultants and approvals, including planning and heritage processes

  • Provide construction phase services and mentor junior staff

About You

  • Registered Architect in Australia (or eligible)

  • 8+ years experience with proven project leadership across multiple project types

  • Strong design sense and technical knowledge

  • Excellent CAD skills (Archicad experience ideal)

  • Experience with planning and heritage processes (ACT experience advantageous)

  • Clear communicator and well-organised

  • Australian citizen or permanent resident

  • White card, asbestos awareness and crystalline silica exposure prevention cards/certificates essential
