Wurfel House

A modest addition to a house that had a very poor connection to the rear yard and little or no direct sun to the main family room.

The new space extends the living room eastward to provide access and views to the garden whilst providing light filled living space. A highlight window under the cranked roof form and above the existing roof allows sunlight to penetrate the space throughout the day.

The dramatic full height corner window provides a glimpse to the street leaving solid walls each side to screen the view to the neighbouring house.

The project included the refurbishment of the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms.
