Philip Leeson Architects were commissioned by a vibrant couple in Campbell to design the alterations and additions to their 1960’s concrete brick home. We undertook a complete refurbishment of the interior spaces, improving internal circulation, access to natural light, wet area arrangements, as well as the general thermal performance and spatial connections. A small extension to the rear of the house was added in the form of a new master bedroom wing. A rich internal palette of stone tiles, timber veneered joinery and carpentry, plus delicate timber lights offset the existing brick walls and floor to ceiling slender window and door openings. New double glazed timber windows and doors were installed to existing openings, which has provided a considerable improvement to internal comfort.
