Externally the original face brickwork was rendered and painted a warm mushroom colour, original sturdy steel windows were retained and painted a contrasting grey blue. A front porch and timber pergola were added to enhance the sense of entry and to provide some articulation to the bland façade. The entire garden was re-landscaped with new planting, paving and at the rear a visually striking composition of terracing, timber decking and an ornamental pool which complements the architecture and adds a note of completeness to a building starting a new life.
